Vicksburg Historic Hotel

"Beautiful and impressive mansion like staying inside a castle. I was impressed with all the antique furnitures. That was a treat for me. I was grateful for the talk after breakfast about the history of the place. Downside was that some staff services and the logistics could have been better. The hair conditioner bottle was indeed shampoo. My dietary preference at breakfast didn’t make it to the kitchen staff (or it was ignored/ forgotten). Staff Couldn’t find the key to my room upon check in. "

"The historical house is beautiful on the inside. The proprieter is froendly and made a wonderful breakfast. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We will stay there again."

"We stayed in Mae-Mae's Room at the Steele Cottage and it was great for our needs. Well appointed, conveniently located and easily accessible, yet removed from the core downtown area for privacy. The breakfast service at the Duff Green Mansion B&B was good for a first morning, but the 3+ block walk is not directly toward the main part of downtown and the river. I suggest equipping the Steele Cottage with bottled waters and snack items in each room for optimal convenience."

"My stay was awesome the front desk was helpful and accommodating they greeted you with a smile. The housekeeping staff was very friendly all but the last one we had on check out. She was very rude to my fiancé when he ask questions she pointed never spoke a maintenance guy in return help answer his questions. I decided to still give this hotel five stars. As for the rude house keeper she just didn’t get the top i intended to leave after cleaning up the room trying to help her😊"

She read him the room info, king bed, no smoking. She then WINKED at him, whispering, asked him if he smokes and of course, he does... so he said yes and she put him in a smoking room.
