Request a 2:00 early check-in, which was approved by Manager Justin Mills. I also called twice to clarify the parking if I was arriving in the morning to ski prior to check in. I was told twice to come right to the hotel for a garage code. I wanted to plan on parking in the garage because my wife was getting over the flu and not skiing. When I arrived, I was told I had to park down the road and walk back. This was not feasible, so my wife dropped us off and spent the day in town, returning for our 2:00 check-in. At 2:00 We got an email instructing my to use the guest portal to access my room code. We went to the room, and the room was already open and still being inspected. The housekeeping manager was in there and very unhappy that we were trying to access the room so early. She insisted that I should have waited for a message saying the room was clean. I was only following the instructions in the check in email. I never got any email saying the room was clean, just one inviting me to the portal and giving instructions for access. I understand that we asked for an exception with the early check-in, but even after it being approved by the Lodging Manager, the staff was very stubborn about making the accommodation. The room was clean and we had a nice visit, but planning our check-in should have been much easier.
