We wanted something on the way to Cadillac Ranch without ending up in Amarillo only to turn around in the morning to come back to the attraction. This affordable motel is also adorably decorated, not in a generic way, so you get that Route 66 feel. Decorative appointments are subtle, and rooms are warmly lit. My pet peeve is any lodging that uses "daylight" colored bulbs (think maximum security prison) in their fixtures instead of soft white. This location of America's Best Value Inn uses only the warmest of light, and all the fixtures in our room were working. So many lodgings have lamps that are either unplugged o burnt out. The manager was friendly and helpful, offering me a hot drink on arrival from a huge variety of K-Cup selections, including my favorite chai latte. I was grateful not to spend extra money on a hot breakfast we wouldn't enjoy. The popular selections in the fresh grab-and-go bags included fruit and granola bars along with baked goods.

The Man that check us in was friendly, but it was an older place and not as updated for the price. Some of the ceiling tiles was damaged and kinda looked a little neglected.

Well for a little town of 600 people it is what it is The rooms could use some fixing and updating and stay on top of stuff the shower had a leak that would while you were shower and shoot over on the towels plumb up on the ceiling had a little bitty leak so you get out and all the extra towels would be wet. There's just a few things the coffee makers aren't that great or the coffee of course like I say you can't expect three four five star hotels amenities in a little bitty town. So it's going to be what it is. Decent for the price I guess it could use some work though.

This place is exactly what I expected and paid for in the middle of nowhere in north Texas. The host (I assume the owner) was very friendly and accommodating. I'm traveling with a cat and there is a group of uncarpeted rooms for pet owners. There is deferred maintenance - again, nothing I didn't expect for the location and price. The beds are fine. There is noise from I-40. If you're fussy, go on into Amarillo and pay twice as much. I'm not, and it suited me just fine.

Great place to stay for the price and benefits.
I stop in here on my commutes between my home in Co and my work site in New Mexico. The place is comfortable and very quiet. The manager is very nice. Even though I could go elsewhere, I prefer to stay here. I look forward to my travel breaks by staying here.
