"A perfect Gite that was ideal for our stop over for a couple of nights en route further south. Plenty of room, well appointed, nice and clean, and Jeannine was extremely receptive to our questions and needs. Merci beaucoup."

"This was a peaceful place with a lovely hostess who gave us some eggs from her hens. There is a tiny table with two chairs outside the door and a larger space with garden furniture under a canopy further down the garden, although this would be more comfortable if it could be contrived to put it on level ground. The living space was fine for two people."

"Excellent choice for a large family holiday. Plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied and happy. Plus lots of space with in the property and grounds . Good time had by all. A bit disappointing that you had to pay for the use of bikes at the property."

The courtyard with covered dining area and “plancha grill” for outdoor cooking were a great bonus. An impressive garden and plunge pool was also most appreciated. The host, Jo, was available personally or by phone to answer any questions. Her advice and guidance on local events and places to visit was invaluable. We look forward to returning soon. Ian."

"Perfect little gite with lots of thoughtful touches! Friendly and respectful hosts. Pretty garden. There are lots of things to see within a one hour drive. I would highly recommend staying here. Valley of the monkeys is not far and very entertaining."

"We loved our stay at Fonclaire. The tent was well equipped, the facilities always clean and tidy. The play park and pool were perfect. And the site attracts others like us so the kids all played together in the middle of the field. It was really lovely and we will be back! "

"Rien à redire à part qu'il serait bien de préciser que nous allions à 7 dormir dans le même chalet. L'image des deux chalets était un peu trompeuse. Pour un weekend c'est faisable, sur un temps plus long c'est impossible."

"The property is set in a lovely hamlet where you can leave the doors and windows open all night with no worries. Both pools are excellent and regularly maintained by the host. There is everything you need provided in the well appointed kitchen. Yann is friendly and on hand to help when/if needed. I would thoroughly recommend if you want a relaxing time."

"I wanted somewhere in the heart of French countryside that could accommodate a family and a dog. The house was full of character with a huge garden and had complete privacy. There was everything we could possibly need and Jenns was the perfect host. We had plenty of interesting sites to visit by car but also loved spending time at "home" with a bbq and garden games. Loved every minute."

"Deze gîte bestaat niet. De advertentie gaf geen huisnummer. Wij hebben aangeklopt bij het enige huis in deze straat. Dit huis leek onbewoond.(stoffig en vuil) Ik heb rondgevraagd of er een gîte in de buurt was, maar niemand wist ergens van. Van de "eigenaar" heb ik nooit een telefoonnummer gekregen, hoewel ik daar expliciet om gevraagd heb. Gelukkig hebben we na lang zoeken een chambre d'hôte gevonden 20 km verderop, maar mijn geld ben ik kwijt..."

"Lovely clean property in St Pardoux. Excellent location for the lake and surrounding towns and villages. Walking distance to a great bakery and a couple of restaurants."

"Bon accueil et bon echange avec la proprietaire. Forte odeur d'humidité dans le salon. Piece impossible à utiliser. Logement atypique avec un certain charme. Salle de bain principale dans chambre sans aucune intimité. Douche posée dans un coin avec vue imprenable sur la route ! Tete de lit à coté du lavabo et au dessus des tuyaux d'évacuation .... Propreté du logement à revoir. Neanmoins le linge de toilettes et les draps sentent bon la lessive."

"Our third year back at Chateau Jautrudon and the week seemed to fly by again. So much to do on site (tennis, swimming, golf, walks in the woods, games inside) and a few trips out (canoeing in Le Blanc, VeloRail at Chauvigny). Nice to see a few improvements in the kitchen plus the addition of a swing and basketball hoop."

"Everything and everyone were great at the Hôtel Emeraude. We were welcomed warmly, told where the room was which was bright and spacious and had air-con which was a bonus as it was a hot day. We were advised on where to park, breakfast and dining options. The area around the hotel is gorgeous and there is a lovely view on the lake from the terrace where we had dinner. I wouldhappily stay there again."
