This quaint little cabin was a perfect retreat to get away from it all. We had reliable internet from the house but no cell service until halfway up the lane. Exactly what we were looking for! The dock was a great place to relax with a glass of wine in the evening and the fire pit provided great ambiance to gaze at the stars. Bonus - the firewood is provided! Coffee, filters, and condiments were also provided. It is fairly secluded and we only saw one neighbor one time our entire stay. There were plenty of deer, birds, squirrels, and a family of ducks to keep us company. The house is down a packed gravel road, easily accessible with a car. I wish I would have brought my own pillow, but that’s my preference; there weren’t many extras. That being said, the bed itself was comfy! A couple drawbacks. There aren’t a ton of dishes. We purchased two wine glasses and two juice glasses because all that was provided were four small tea cups. There’s no dishwasher and no dishcloths, so we used a washcloth for the dishes. Because there are few dishes, we washed dishes daily. The biggest negative, which just is what it is with the location, was the water has a high sulfur content! We went out and bought jugs of water for drinking/coffee and only washed our hair once. We planned to do our laundry before we left but decided to pack the dirty clothes and wait until we got home. Like I said, nothing that can be done about it so fair warning to bring your own filter pitcher or jugs of water.Overall the location was great, plenty of beautiful scenery and hiking trails, and pet friendly so we could bring Stormy with us! We look forward to staying again and definitely recommend.
