「The hotel itself was very clean, but also very outdated and in need of renovations. Staff were very polite and engaging.」

「The area is nice. I believe the property was great in it's heyday. The rooms apear nice on first impression, although the main areas are clean they are not. The tv didn't work, the bedside lamps did not work, the CO detector randomly alerted, food containers under the bed. This along with a guy smoking a joint / weed in the lobby as we were leaving in the morning... . Not on my recommendation list.」

「Easy check in process, great communication from the host with easy-to-follow, clear instructions. Easy to get to as well. Kind of a no-frills stay, but that’s what we were looking for and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. We’d definitely stay again.」

「Brought the family up for a trip to Voyageurs National Park and didn't want to completely break the bank on a room to sleep. The Hilltop was convenient located right on the main drag of IF, check in was super easy, as was check out. Brandy was readily available if needed during our stay although we didn't need anything. The room was as described. They aren't newly renovated or high end, but they serve their purpose, good size, clean, quiet. Definitely worth the price!」

「The bathroom was the biggest problem with mold and moldy black baseboards coming apart at the base molding. (No pun intended.) The hot water heater was literally next to the bed, covered in carpeting with loose screws on top. The location was misrepresented and not in the park or even in a wooded area, but on an atrial street in a neighborhood.」
