“Our second visit to this hotel. Not disappointed with the standard of accommodation or the excellent menu. Our room was the accessable room in the ground floor of the main building, well appointed but quite dark. The hotel looks great and lives up to its reputation”

“Overall, the hotel was great. Very busy dining, but no problem with obtaining food on first night. However, on second night it took one & a half hours to get food (only starters ordered). The main problem was communication. No-one told us that they had a big party in & it would take a considerable time to get our order. Even after an hour, when I went to see where our food was, the issue was not handled very well. The kitchen & front of house need to communicate better.”

“A picturesque inn, in a beautiful area. Staff made us feel welcomed the moment we stepped through the door. Throughout our stay, everyone was so helpful and friendly. Clean and tidy room with spacious bathroom. Meals were excellent. Chefs are first class and every meal cooked to perfection. Quality food. A hearty breakfast provided a great start to our days. Even the dog got a sausage. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone at the Bay Horse Inn. ”

“I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks……

“Comfortable king-sized bed with comfortable pillows. Clean room. Nothing fancy but it had everything we needed. Good food in the restaurant. Excellent stop along Hadrian's Wall. Friendly staff.”

“A characterful village inn hotel, recently refurbished by the owners. Very friendly, relaxed welcome and service from Kayleigh & Marcus and all their staff. Room had a lovely view through the village and towards the hillside. Well appointed and very tastefully decorated ensuite room too. The bar itself is busy with a good selection and found everyone to be very friendly both in the bar and in general around the village, no-one passes you without saying "good morning". In short, very enjoyable……

“We can not fault anything, it was absolutely beautiful, we stayed in the gatehouse room which was incredible and extremely comfortable, the inn it’s self is so cosy and it’s definitely the friendliest inn that we have been in, the food was 10 out 10 the views from the beer garden where beautiful, the staff where so lovely and nothing is too much for them, they just want to look after you. It’s in an outstanding area and not for from the beautiful Kielder forest. We can not wait to go back for a……
