Studio Riverside in Kennebec

  • Beautiful Riverside Studio/above garage apartment, private, remote, semi-secluded. Located on the Kennebec river. A roomy studio with a view of the Kennebec river, feet from the river's edge. Large kitchen, includes everything you need to feel right at home. Located on 10 private acres, close to the Appalachian Trail and it's Kennebec river crossing. Surrounded by woods and bordered by a crystal clear stream. If you're into the outdoors this is the place for you. Hiking, biking, fishing, rafting and snowmobiling right outside your door.
    The apartment has a king size bed, with a day bed that doubles as a single. The full bath is also stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, etc. and has a washer and dryer for your use. Guests will also have access to River/lake, lawn/beach area, fire pit, gazebo with double hammock, 2 kayaks, canoe and propane grill.
    We are in the middle of an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. We have tons of day hikes close by, mountain tops, breathtaking views, or waterfalls, whatever you're looking for. Whitewater rafting is the big summer industry here, there are several outfitters located within 5 miles of our place. Fishing right out the front door, either in the lake, the river or in the stream that borders the property. Snowmobile trail access to ITS 87. Park you trailer here and ride for miles from the front door. There are biking and walking trails as well. We are glad to offer suggestions, or show you around.
    We are next door on the property and happy to answer any questions or help with concerns. We love to meet new people and socialize but will respect your space and privacy.

You didn’t have to leave to find something to do with the river being at your backdoor. This was by far one of the best places my family and I have stayed over 10 years of vacations. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Never disappoints

This is our 4th annual stay at this property. We love the location (lots of hiking, tubing, rafting and more). The kitchen is very well equipped. The river is gorgeous. We love this place and everything is fabulous.

We had a great stay at Mike and Kim’s immaculate, beautiful studio apartment. The pictures available didn’t do the space justice; it was even better than anticipated. The apartment was well stocked with everything we needed, and the only problem that we had was that the bed was so comfortable that we didn’t want to get up from an afternoon nap! With access to the gorgeous water front grounds and just minutes from our rafting destination at Northern Outdoors, the location of the studio could not have been better. We appreciated Mike and Kim’s terrific communication and humor. We’d love to return to stay again.

Cozy Riverside Studio in Kennebec

We enjoyed our stay at the riverside studio while we attended a family wedding. The studio was comfortable and well appointed. Our check-in and check-out was very easy and the owners made sure we had all directions prior to arrival. The bed was comfortable. Overall, the rental was just what we needed for the weekend. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I liked the place but 2 things I didn’t like 1. I was mislead online I thought I was booking a hotel. Seems like a good price till I got there no housekeeping or room service 2 . The remoteness 45 miles to nearest Walmart I enjoyed my stay next time I visit Maine I will make sure I book a hotel

Sound of Silence

We wanted a place on the water, out of the way, quiet and relaxing to celebrate our 30th Anniversary.It is absolutelely beautiful and tranquill listening to the river flow and the birds sing. My husband enjoyed fishing right there. Places to eat close by, very comfortable, relaxing and peaceful. Perfect if that is what you are looking for. Would love to go back again.

Gorgeous and peaceful

Amazing vacation! Mike and Kim have a beautiful property along the Kennebec River and are fabulous hosts. We had an amazing time and our daughter loved fishing and kayaking. She caught 3 small mouth bass! The river is gorgeous and the apartment is cozy and clean with all you need to have a great vacation. I highly recommend staying at this property.

Excellent stay as always

This is our 5th year going back to this rental. It is worth every penny. The kitchen is equipped with anything you will need, which makes it nice. Close to tubing and rafting and the river view is amazing. Thanks again!

Magical

Mike and Kim’s apartment is such a magical place. Apt is very clean and spacious. Beds are very comfortable. AC cools entire place (although we didn’t really need it). Lots of games and books available. Well equipped kitchen. The best was just being on the river though. Kayaking, canoeing, and swimming were all amazing. You feel isolated but it made me feel safe being a few feet from their home. Mike was very helpful! We used this as a base for rafting and hiking in the area and it was perfect!!!

Serene comfort on the Kennebec River

This apt is one of the most well-equipped we have stayed in and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Although communication provided excellent directions, it was after dark and I appreciated seeing my name on a chalkboard outside the entry door over a window box full of gorgeous flowers to confirm we were in the right place. The king bed was very comfortable! The twin was a bit too firm but that’s a preference. The couch was perfect to curl up on and there was a basket of throw blankets s well. Window AC cooled the place easily on the hot summer days we were there. Didn’t use the gas fireplace but can picture how cozy it would be. Many games and books for adults and kids and a smart tv with Netflix, etc. The kitchen wasn’t missing anything having even spices, oil, coffee, sugar and dried creamer. Loved the linens, including quality towels in the bathroom. Did one load of laundry - convenient! Best part was the quiet, beautiful setting in the woods right on the river. Although kayaks, a canoe, and swimming were all available we unfortunately couldn’t take advantage because my daughter ended up sick during our short stay but what a gorgeous spot! Excellent explicit info on the river’s current, etc provided if we had been able to. Loved being greeted by the adorable chickens every day. Hope we can come back some day to stay more than two nights and fully enjoy this special spot. Kim was incredibly helpful with suggestions and accommodating a late check out.

Beautiful hidden gem

We loved this place! Wish we had booked for a few more days so we could explore the area more. The location is serene by the Kennebec river. The studio apt. is really spacious, although a slightly larger shower stall would have been more comfortable. It was surprisingly tiny without a lot of places to put supplies. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked. I gave communication with manager only 3 stars because we could not find the driveway and did not get a timely reply from him. It was frustrating to know we were close but the road sign name was too low to be seen from the road and the entrance to driveway was overgrown so that it did not look like an opening to drive through. In addition there was a road crew doing maintenance on the roadway. For clarification, instead of saying across from the 'blinking moose sign' perhaps call it a flashing moose crossing sign. I expected the moose to be flashing but it was not.

Beautiful!

The location was exactly as described in the description. Very clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable. This was a weekend mom-cation get away for just me. It was quiet but beautiful. Walk to the river was easy and chairs and a little table are provided. Apartment had everything you could want as well as anything you may have forgotten to pack. I would love to come back soon with my husband!
