"Old school and old building. Excellent location and views, spacious rooms, fine service. The amenities were ok. The main issue is smoking. A non smoking hotel that hands out matches in every room, what do you think it’s going to happen? If you’re a smoker it’s for you. For me it was always an exercise in opening the windows to get the smell out of the room and close them quickly when the suicidal monkey next door smoked in their balcony"

"Bathtub where shower is, is very hard to get in and out if you are a mature person. Step down to bathroom from bedroom also is an issue if you need to use bathroom in the middle of the night in the dark. "

"We stayed for 2 nights. Basic hotel in downtown Lucerne, very close to old city. The free breakfast was nice. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend."

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this lovely hotel in its perfect location. The staff were so helpful and breakfast was very good. The only downside is the noise at night coming from local bars but that is the price you pay for a city centre location and absolutely no fault of the hotel. "
