Everything was wonderful except the door. We had a really hard time getting in and out. It was stuck so tight. So many things to see in Stowe and surrounding area. Beautiful area!

Would not choose this property next time

Overall, this place was pretty much what it looks like in the photos, a small clean no-frills ski condo rental in the heart of Stowe village. Things that made our experience worse than expected were: 1. The front door was stuck when we arrived and we had to shove it open just to get inside. Once inside, we got trapped by the same door when trying to go out to dinner. The front office was closed by then, and it was only after locating a pair of pliers in my bag that we were able to yank the door open. I mentioned this to the property manager the next morning, and she said she would send someone to fix it. That never happened, so for all I know the door is still unusable. 2. The main reason we chose the place was because there was a hot tub on the property. Just before heading to the rec center, I checked the notes from welcome email to discover that the hot tub was closed for repairs. Later that night, we stopped in to the rec center and found that the hot tub was actually working. 3. The shower in the unit is tiny for a tall person like myself. The shower head was positioned so that it sprayed directly into my face from 6 inches away. None of these things prevented us from having a great weekend. Communication with the property manager was great prior to our arrival, and she was very friendly in person. What made these problems more annoying is that listing on VRBO is misleading about the price of the rental. The service fees attached to it more than doubled the listed cost.
