「酒店位置不错，Hope Valley偏东部，去西边的Mam Tor在20分钟以内，Stanage Edge、Bamford Edge、Burbage South Edge和Burbage Brook都不到10分钟。房子比较古旧了，一共只有9个房间。没电梯，楼梯很窄，好在房间还比较宽敞。早餐3个品种，8:30~10:00。房前有个大停车场，临山谷一侧有桌椅，可以喝着小酒，看日落。」

「We enjoyed staying at this traditional inn and meeting the lovely people who run it. It felt like such a genuine, honest, real place - somewhere we could relax and breathe easily, in contrast to the massive chain hotel we had just been staying in in Liverpool, where sheer numbers of guests led inevitably to a dehumanized, mass-produced feel. Here we were real people in a real place eating real food and sleeping in a real room with character and personality. The towels were folded into the shape...

「This was our first B&B on our ramble through England, and it set the bar very high. The place is beautifully appointed, immaculately clean, comfortable, and in a gorgeous spot. The manager was available and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. Outstanding!」

「Sadly, the EV chargers didn't work, and every staff member under the age of 25 looked like they really didn't want to be there. It took the shine off our dinner, bearing in mind we are only 27 and 28, and have worked similar jobs ourselves - but it was very noticeable and off-putting. Loved the dog friendliness of the place and how accommodating it was to outdoorsy folk. Will come back for sure. 」

「Lovely stay. The staff was great! Everyone went out of their way to be kind and helpful, even helping when our plans to tour local sites got messed up by a very heavy winter storm that caused power outages. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a bit pricey, but excellent quality and our servers could not have been better. Breakfast every morning was delicious and, again, our server was lovely. Would recommend this hotel if touring Derbyshire area. 」

「Hotel was excellent - it was great to be able to use the spa facilities (we used the hot tub and sauna but didn't use the pool) as when we were there the weather was rubbish. Dinner and breakfast were great too, as were the staff.」

「The Devonshire is perfectly located in the hills around Chesterfield. It is spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed rooms with comfy beds and super quiet with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Dining options in the pub restaurant were vast and the food delicious with a really friendly team. Final bonus - REAL MILK provided in the fridge for proper morning coffee. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you team Devonshire. 」

「Beautiful Victorian property, loving restored, yet retaining some original period features, the owners definitely got the balance of new & old spot on . The Hosts are super helpful & friendly, go above & beyond to ensure your stay in stunning English countryside is memorable.
