The location of the hotel opposite Gateway of India was very convenient with shopping and extensive choice of food outlets in the nearby colaba area. The iconic Taj Palace hotel is connected and most public areas are shared by both hotels. The welcome ceremony conducted on check in is very unique and made us feel special. "I had booked a "Deluxe" room which was supposed to have coffeemaker and toiletries. All I could find was a cake of soap. Pros: good location. 5 minutes' walk to Chhatrapati Shivaj Terminus. Bed was comfortable. Cons: the room looked as though it had not been cleaned thoroughly in a long time. Bed linen and towel had to be changed. "
