This was a slightly unusual stay as I stayed one night, then left for Aksu-Zhabagly National Park for a couple of days, then back for one night. Still, both nights were great. The rooms were very clean, the front desk personnel were very helpful, and the location of the hotel was central, though still a longish walk to the historic center of Shymkent. Also, the price was very good for the quality of the stay. Another plus is that two of the top five restaurants in Shymkent are inside the hotel and both are also used for the complementary breakfast. I had only two small issues. The second night, my room did not face the front of the hotel and there was some noise from the street, though not so much that I could not sleep. The other issue was that the staff at the Kazakhasia Restaurant need to be more discrete in telling guests that the restaurant Olivia is also available for breakfast rather than with the line "this restaurant is reserved for important people" ...
