"Wow, this place was amazing. From the moment we arrived, we had a warm welcome. All hotel amenities were described and they had so many activities and a scavenger hunt! Our room was beautiful, very clean, spacious, and they provided everything you need and more. We enjoyed the hot tub and had a drink in our private backyard. "La Vista is set quite high up so if you're coming on the tourist bus (red line near stop 17) like us it's a bit of a mountain goat trek up the hill. If you have heavy bags it would be advisable to get a taxi. But when you get to the hotel the view is awesome. When we walked for a morning stroll, we caught a beautiful and clear view of Mt Fuji. With rental car, we had access to a selection of restaurants, shops, and activities within the Lake Yamanakako area. "This is a very nice hotel, the rooms ae large and comfortable, but you have to be okay with futons on teh floor. It is right across from the lake and within walking distance of the Rope line, boat tours and restaurants and cafes. The Hot springs pools are gender separated and in traditional Japanese style, with an outdoor pool and a hotter indoor poole and full showering and washing with shampoo and soap. A very good place with a free shuttle from the station."

"From the moment we arrived I felt like we received white glove service. The staff was friendly and spoke multiple languages, inc English. Checking in was super easy for us. They have reserved bath / shower time for the limited shower space but it works & the showers/bath was very nice. We cooked dinner with the supplies given and would definitely come back in the near future. It was a memorable experience with great views of mt Fuji! "
