"The private room was quite large and the service was excellent. I love that they have an assortment of board games in the common area, as well as a dart board! Minor gripes: * There are only two washing machines and two dryers. On at least two occasions I had to reschedule my laundry chores because both were occupied at the time. "We stayed in a 4 dorm, 2 adults and 2 kids, for 4 nights. The hostel was great for us in terms of location, cost, and room space. They serve some amazing lunch and dinner options there too! The hostel was one of the quietest I've ever stayed in and the facilities were all fairly clean and well equipped. "

"Our family (2 adults, 8yr old son) stayed in a private 2 double bed room for 6 nights in March 2025. We were extremely happy with our experience. The room was very spacious and the bathroom/shower rooms were wonderful. I would definitely consider staying here again and recommend it to small families. There is a shared lounge and kitchen which we utilized to cook additional veggies as we found it lacking when eating out. There are two induction ranges and pots of water come to boil very quickly....

"Worst hostel I’ve been in Japan. It’s dirty, noisy and smelly. The beds are not fixed so it very noisy when you move. The rooms are not well ventilated and smells bad. You can find better for the price. "

"Sekai Hotel was perfect for what I needed: a place to sleep and keep some stuff while I explored Osaka. It is a great deal, close to the subway and tons of shops and restaurants, and got the job done. "

"The place is clean, the bedrooms are spacious, the common rooms are cozy, the showers are high pressure, and the staff were very friendly. The only complaint is that the house dog situation was, for the time that I was there, a little concerning. They were quite vocal and unfriendly for the most part, apparently because they were in heat. I believe the staff when they say it's not always like that. But overall I greatly enjoyed Guest House Matsu so much that I kept wanting to spend time there...

"Stay was great! We are a family of 2 adults and 4 kids and there was enough space in our room for a comfortable stay. Hotel is 2 blocks from a main avenue with a lot of dinning options. The hotel doesn't ship luggage, only receives and storages them, however, there's a 7-11 a block from the hotel to ship luggage. Rooms were clean and everything was as expected. The male receptionist who spoke English was so helpful and nice. He gave our kids some boxes with treats and when we checked out, he...

"Our family of four really liked this hotel. The room was a great size for our family. We love that we each get our own bed, 2 individual beds and a bunk bed to fit 2 people. On the second floor- they have a small gym, a water and ice dispenser, a public washroom, a laundry room that has numerous washers (100 yen per wash) and, numerous dryers ( 100 yen for 20 mins). The hotel is located within great walking distances to markets and convenient stores. "

"I think this is the best hotel at the Osaka Bay. The service is phenomenal and the room is very comfy, I almost did not want to leave my room and just relax there. Tho, I hope they would allow people with small tattoos to use the spa by providing patches to cover them up."

"first time coming to Osaka, I decided to stay here and wow ! this hotel is amazing. its beautiful, modern, clean, and extremely convenient. The swimming pool on the rooftop has a million dollar view of Osaka 😍 I'm not sure if I want to stay at any other hotel than this one next time I come to Osaka. "

"This hotel is located right above JR Station and Metro station. But it is quite far from Nankai Station, so if you take a rapid train to Nankai Namba station you will have to walk quite a bit in a very tricky way. Not too good when you carry lots of luggages as some of the exit does not have lift or elevators. OCAT bus station is just next to the hotel. The hotel itself is nice. The furniture is a bit outdated; but clean. The room is quite small; we cannot open our luggages properly. But it is not a big problem. The room is also quite, properly insulated. There are plenty of dining places in Namba Walk (through the tunnel under the hotel) and a Lawson across the road from the hotel. 15 minutes walk to Dotonburi if you take the correct path (do the Namba Walk way and exit in B20). We had a nice stay here. Thank you."

Great location for USJ

"Great location, close to Universal Studios Japan and Citywalk, as well as the station. We used ths hotel as a base for our stay in Osaka. The room size was adequate, it was a little tight for the 4 of us (2A, 2C) but it had 4 beds in it. There weren't any cupboards or drawers either, which meant we had to keep all our things in our suitcases and had to keep opening them, but I think this is common in Japanese hotels! The bathroom was very large and the shower room was great. Overall we enjoyed our time here."
