The room is spacious and relatively clean.
There are no commercial area right next, but one can get to stores walking a few blocks west. Not crowded at all, and very calm.
Surrounded by green area, I thought there is a park one can easily access, but the buildings that look like outlet stores are all closed and they block the way to the park-like place.
Bus is rather scarce. It's hard to catch a taxi, but one can call taxi through the hotel staff. It cost 300 RMB from Pudong airport, but Dongchuanlu station (metro line 5) is ~42 RMB away by taxi. One can get to the the downtown Shanghai by metro from there in about 30 minutes. (Very convenient Metro!!) There are apartment houses around, but they seem quite empty.
The food in the hotel is OK, and people are very kind. However, only a few people can speak English, so prepare yourself with a translation app.
