「This little cabin was fantastic, even for just a couple. Every detail was perfect. Anything one could need was right there in the cabin- making things so easy and stress free. The lake was beautiful, from sunrise to sunset. It was so nice to be truely alone, like stepping back in time. We relaxed, read books, had bonfires, star gazed, and BBQed! It was really such a perfect family place- we felt guilty leaving the kids with grandma for our anniversary trip. We will be back and will be bringing...

「We enjoyed our stay at this cute cabin. We loved having everything we needed at the cabin such as, paper towels, toilet paper, and laundry supplies. It is stocked with towels and cooking supplies as well. The owner was responsive and friendly.」

「If you are looking for quiet, beautiful surroundings on a pretty little lake with a kayaks and patio an outdoor space to enjoy to U.P. -this is the place! The beds are comfortable. And lots of little extras you need when you are away from home. The only negative we found, was cleaning crew not very thorough, yes, it is a cabin in the UP , but a little attention to cleaning the countertops and floors, makes a big first impression. Otherwise, a sweet little place.」

「The cabin was well maintained and nicely furnished. Ample sleeping space for 6 grown men. Fantastic location gives great privacy with quick access to M77. Will gladly stay again」

「We enjoyed our stay. We were only there in the evenings we had campfire each night and at one one night the manager called to let us know that the northern lights were hitting and we jumped in the car, went about a mile away, and got fabulous pictures of the northern lights overall it was perfect. It was right in the middle of where we wanted to go. Rock hounding, and waterfall chasing. We would do it again.」

「This property is secluded in the woods but a short quick drive to Munising. This was within an hour or 2 of all the places we wanted to visit like Mackinac Island, Paradise, Whitefish Point & more. The neighbors & dog were really nice and came over to warn us that a mama bear & cub were spotted across the street from us and to be aware and not to leave food in car or outside. 「Host could have at least provided water of some sort. Smelled musty, no dishes or utensils not even cups for coffee, if I wanted to do dishes couldn't even do that as there was not kitchen towels or wash cloths provided. Fire pit but no wood. I'm not sure what a cleaning fee is for. There is nothing to clean. Beds are just mattresses on floor with fitted sheet. Overall 0 stars」

「This was our second time staying at the Retro Retreat and it never disappoints! The house is very well stocked and the beds are a dream to sleep on! Its perfectly located to everything in Grand Marais! We will be back again!」

「Outstanding modernized cabin deep the forest. Full kitchen with gas stove, toaster, microwave and large-capacity coffeemaker. Main heat source is the gas fireplace, which quickly warms the living area. Bed was outstanding. Amply provided with towels and washcloths. Despite its fairly isolated location is easy to find and only a mile from the main road (H58). You're in the wilds here, and the stars are bright at night. Highly recommended. 」

「We stayed with a group of five, including two kids (3 and 7). The cabin was clean, had all the amenities needed to keep kids and adults entertained and fed. Being centrally located was a big plus. I fully expect we will return next year.」
