Small rooms, but well-kept, and what more is needed but a bed, bathroom, fridge, micro TV and remote- perfect! We only got a room to sleep in- if we'd wanted to sit watching TV, we'd have stayed home.

The room, while smaller than some, was super clean and the quality would be what you expect in an expensive home. I travel (hotel and Airbnb) and this room was NOT remodeled on the cheap! Just lovely. Even though a front room, Cottonwood seems to gl to sleep by 10pm and in March we had a super quiet night.

Don’t let the outside appearance deter you. Overall a nice place for the price. Plenty of dining options nearby. Excellent alternative option to staying in Sedona which is only a short drive away. Super friendly staff. very clean and bedding and linens are comfortable.

The location in the center of Old Town is the primary attraction of this property. The room was fine. The bathroom appeared fairly recently renovated, was quite modern, and though on the small end, find for my needs. I'd love hotels to stop this trend of half a glass door in the shower though. The room was cleaned prior to my residence but the housekeeping wasn't overseen, and wasn't quite top notch. There is a flat screen TV, universal remote, and a bunch of cable channels, but there was some pop up message I couldn't erase using the universal remote provided. The door locks needed some attention. Just old. Couldn't really use the key on the handle lock, so I had to rely on the deadbolt alone when I left. The safe battery was dead and despite my desire to use it, the front desk said they couldn't physically be removed to be replaced. That's not a huge deal for all travelers, but, really is industry standard anymore. It's a bad look to tell a guest, "yeah, it doesn't work and we don't have a plan to provide you the same service." The bed was very comfortable. Loved the pillows! I love that there's free parking, but it is community, not property parking. They offer a free instant coffee/tea/hot chocolate thing in a room that has a large amount of materials on local attractions, accessible with provided code to guests. The courtyard is a unique feature and I saw a few guests enjoying it during my stay. There were new window shades in my room, but they were too big.

The Iron Horse suited our needs for a 2 night stay to explore the area. The room was very small but comfortable. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were mostly there to do some sight seeing, so only used the room to sleep and shower. The outside courtyard had plenty of seating but could use some potted flowers to give it some charm. Parking is plentiful and free. I would recommend an upstairs room as our lower floor room had noisy occupants upstairs at 2 a.m. Lot's of fabulous restaurants within walking distance. Quick drive to Jerome, Sedona, Verde Canyon Railroad.

What a unique place to stay. Had an upper room. Super clean. Nice remodeled shower, no tub. No elevator, but enjoyed the flight of stairs up from stone faced courtyard. Was a bit concerned with parking in public lot behind the Inn, but absolutely no problems. Woman at check in/check out was fun to talk to. Gave us suggestions of where to go in the evening for food/drinks.
