We stayed at Bahia Resort Hotel for 2 nights, and it was a very disappointing experience—especially as a mom traveling with a toddler and a newborn.
The room was not clean at all. There were pubic hairs on the bathroom floor, and long hairs on the bedsheets, which made the entire space feel unhygienic and uncomfortable. I expected much higher standards from a resort of this caliber, especially when traveling with small children.
On top of that, the check-in process was delayed—we had to wait 45 minutes past the check-in time because the hotel was apparently fully booked and looked understaffed. With two young children, that wait was incredibly frustrating.
What made it worse was the lack of care from the hotel staff. I called to report the issues after we checked out, and I was told they couldn’t do anything because we had already left. There was no sensitivity at all to the fact that I was traveling with two young kids. As a mom, you do your best in the moment to accommodate your family’s needs, which is why I waited to call until things settled down.
Unfortunately, the lack of cleanliness, poor service, and dismissive attitude from staff make it very hard to recommend this hotel—especially for families.
