“We booked the Garden Suite which was a lovely room with stunning views. Unfortunately on the first night there was a young family in the room above us and they were pretty noisy jumping up and down. I asked reception to have a polite word which they did. My only other negative was the bed; the mattress was so hard it was a killer. The hotel did put a duvet directly onto the mattress but I think having the option to have a topper would have been better, especially given the luxury sell of the……

“A wonderful pub and restaurant, with very convenient accommodation attached. The staff looked after us well. There was a good selection of food for dinner, and the breakfast was outstanding. There was some noise from passing traffic, but this was not overly distracting. Would definitely stay here again.”

“Mill Lodge is located in a quiet side street with pubs and food shopping nearby. Our compact accommodation was very clean, cosy, comfortable and had all we needed, with a generous supply of teas, coffee and Welsh cakes in the room. At breakfast, there was a wide choice of quality ingredients to choose from, carefully prepared and presented in impeccable style. A nice touch was the freshly squeezed orange juice. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. ”

“Crickhowell is stunningly beautiful. We stayed here due to its proximity to Hay-on-Wye, but will be back purely for Crickhowell. The Dragon was wonderful, especially the comfy beds and breakfast. Only reason for 4* not 5, is due to the thin walls and an inconsiderate guest who was f-ing and blinding loudly at 11pm on Saturday. Obvi ”

“A beautiful converted train wagon nestled in the Welsh countryside. Very well put together with most amenities available. Very comfy bed - small but well sized for a intimate break together. There were just a few things we thought to mention: 1. No WiFi came as a huge surprise. Personally we (and probably most) assumed there would be wifi. We would’ve really appreciated this being explicitly stated. 2. There was practically no communication from the hosts, just an empty email with a pin on……
