"This is luxury personified. Stunning views, wonderful rooms with the option to stay in bespoke accommodation. Such as a private pool or hot tub options. There is simply no better view on the Helshgoote Pass. Staff were extremely helpful with nice touches to enhance guests stay throughout. This is a high end luxury hotel with a relaxed atmosphere we will definitely be returning."

"This must be the best place to stay in Knysna. I agonized about whether to stay here or closer in town and I definitely made the right choice. Everyone in ZA seems nice but the St James is beyond nice. It really is lovely to come back to a place where people go above and beyond. Great breakfast overlooking the water without the crowd. Nice place to have a cocktail after dinner. Huge room with great views. Private, safe parking area. I never even used the beautiful boat which other guests took...

"Beautiful hotel with amazing views of Cape Town. Very comfortable and all very friendly. Will use again in the future - for business and holiday. The only negative is that parking was not available the first night, although that was a requirement for the booking. The security guard in the parking area was awesome about it and assisted in getting parking outside in front of the hotel. "

"From the moment I exited my Uber, to the second I walked out of the door to leave, this hotel and its staff was sheer excellence! "The Village Inn was THE place to stay in town, located close to the adventure tours and a couple restaurants. The grounds themselves is like a village in itself, and it has a ton of charm. The room was very comfortable and I loved the bathtub for a soak after our ziplining. The restaurant was very nice and food was yum. "
