The property is in need of a little bit of TLC, deck nails sticking up causing injury, kayaks in a very unclean condition.Overall a very nice place, just needs a bit of TLC/maintenance for the price point of the place.

A Beautiful Spot for a Weekend Away

This house has everything you need for a wonderful weekend away with a group of friends or a large family. Stunning views, comfortable beds, kitchen with all the equipment you could need. It was perfect for 3 couples and a couple of our single friends. Would love to stay again! Highly recommend!

We loved our stay! There was room for everyone with plenty of indoor and outdoor areas both to be together and to have space away from each other. It was so well equipped and we enjoyed all the little extras provided. The spa and the pizza oven were a hit with everyone.

We loved the character of the boat shed. Good fire wood supply, and panel heaters, kept the house cosy and warm. Beds were comfortable. Freya was very easy to communicate with. We were very appreciative of the late check out. We would happily stay again, a beautiful spot looking over the lake.

We had the most perfect weather for a perfect weekend break. Tarawera was like an exotic holiday even though we live in Rotorua. We had friends pop around to enjoy the lake with us. Magic Spot

Very private setting & lovely outlook. Our weather was unbelievable for our 5 days so we had plenty of trips down the path to the Lake for a swim. The house was very homely & comfortable. The water is pumped up from the Lake so the pressure is not great & showers need to have no other water running! We had a family members 80th so a great place for all the family. Pizza oven & spa were awesome.

Gorgeous time out spot

Lucky enough to have a serious foodie in our group who utilized the pizza oven for the most yummy meals. Loved the spa & decking area as well. All in the group commented on the comfy beds. We took the opportunity to walk the lake edge each morning & evening from the property. And we loved our day with Totally Tarawera, an easy stroll to the boat from the house, to enjoy the Wairua hotpool, walk part of the trail and again soak in Hotwater Beach before our return. Such a magic long weekend stay to enjoy some much needed time out for all!
