"Very friendly and helpful staff, they gave us information to find our way into Strasbourg by tram, which was about a 10 minute walk from hotel. It’s a little remote so walking back late at night made my partner feel a little uncomfortable, but having said that we didn’t encounter any problems. We found the hotel room a little chilly in the evening, and TV channels in English were very limited. We watched Netflix from our phone instead with free Wi-Fi. There was a jacuzzi bath in our room but...

"Enjoyed our stay at the Ates Hotel. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Room was also very quiet, with window shutters that blocked all the light, so slept well. Breakfast was good, with plenty to choose from. Service upon arrival and during stay was excellent. Hotel parking was ok and parked without issue. Used as a base to visit Strasbourg. The room was very comfortable and exactly what was needed for a base to go explore. The bed was huge and very comfy. The shower was powerful and hot. The only downside was there isn’t a baggage store once checked out. "

"This hotel is right by the island where the Christmas markets are held so it is easy to walk to. It was approximately a 15 min tram ride from the train station and then about 5 mins to the hotel. We were three and ended up with almost a suite - two rooms behind one door and a private bathroom. Cosy but comfortable. Would recommend it."

"Very picturesque room, under the eaves, just the type of quirky we like. No AC that we could see a control for, but opening the window to keep things cool in March is not an issue on the 3rd floor. Could be, though, in hotter months. However, one can get a pretty good draught when opening windows throughout the unit. Quiet neighborhood, so no city noise during the night even with open windows."
