I selected Hampton Inn- Richmond South during a snowstorm to reduce my commute to work. I trust the Hampton Inn brand as my job is NOT in a safe area 15 minutes away.
This location was also selected because it was very close to the interstate, knowing only the interstate would be decently cleared at the height of the snowstorm (when my shift ended at work).
I called ahead for a late check in and wanted to make sure my room was saved for me as I wouldn’t arrive until between midnight and one a.m.
Erica helped me on the phone and said she would have it all taken care of- when I arrived shortly after 1 am, surely the Front Desk Receptionist saw Erica’s notes and that everything was ready for me.
The Front Desk Receptionist was very nice and welcoming and I wish I had gotten her name. (Forgive me!) She was very empathetic about the weather and late night shift at my job.
My room was immaculate and I rested worry-free knowing how close I was to work for my next shift.
My normal commute is an hour and twenty minutes from a very rural area- it brought great peace of mind to me and my family that I could stay 15 minutes away in a safe area during inclement weather for work.
There are several gas stations on this exit and a Starbucks and Subway are direct neighbors beside this Hampton Inn (parking lots connect).
