My first time at Zel, and will definitely be going back! Also mentioning that this was a solo trip, and I felt very safe, welcome, and never was bored. There were many fitness classes that were awesome. I also got a massage reasonably priced and very relaxing. Different variety of activities daily, such as small art classes and souvenirs.
Service (10/10): Many staff greet you at arrival. There is no typical front desk area, it is more personable with an assigned personal concierge that explains everything and is there to help you throughout the week with any concerns and reservations. Yunior was the best at answering any questions I had and very knowledgable of the resort. Gabriel and Veronica at the tacorini bar were the best at making drinks and very hard workers. Staff was always around for help, and very kind.
Food & Drinks (8/10): Food was absolutely amazing surprisingly. Volcan, the steakhouse, was my favorite. I am very picky about my steak and I still loved it. Buffet was always fairly fresh, and they had a station to make fresh omelettes, pasta dishes, etc.. Drinks were typical for any AI resort, my only feedback is to maybe add in another bar/more employees. There is a swim up bar, however it is not very busy I think because it is in the shade.
Pool/Beach (10/10): Pool was amazing, beach was also amazing. Only 10 minute walk or 3 minute shuttle.
Rooms (10/10): Very clean, large, and daily housekeeping. Minifridge, coffee machine, tables, sofas, patio.
