I liked the easy check in process, the app that was used to reserve dinner or put in a help tix.when needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good. Best restaurants gourmet. Room was clean. I wish we had more nightly activities.

This resort is so horrible, it only looks cute. I get we are in another country but omg almost no one spoke English. I have more fingers on one hand than restaurants and they all were barely open. Food was so basic and nasty. The liquor was pretty much water and the entertainment was repetitive. The resort credit was a joke because I could not use it on anything and could not upgrade. No clear water in sight btw. Very disappointed considering the money I spent.

Buffet on both adult and family sides were not good; family side was a bit better in terms of variety, but it was crowded and you’ll be surrounded by lots of kids. Same dishes were served and repeated daily almost from one station to the next. And I don’t know why, but the main protein option for breakfast, especially, was just mainly eggs. Night life was almost nonexistent on adults side. Adult side should be renamed to “Retirement Side” instead. Even the swim out pool lights auto shut off at 11pm, probably to discourage late night swims and hangouts. Service was extremely slow. Our room door hinges broke shortly after 5 mins of checking in. Called guest services twice and finally someone showed up almost an hour later. Asked for a clothing steamer 5 times and finally received it 3 days later, smh! The phone line to call Guest Services only works when it wants to. Unable to call Guest Services to order room service one morning (yes, you can order through the app and TV, but those options are iffy because you won’t know whether your order is received by kitchen staff or not). No workers at the resort seem to know anything, from when the pool/buffet opens/closes to any daily schedule of events. Therefore, there were lots of confusions & guessing games on our part. It was all the small little things like this that made our stay inconvenient & less enjoyable. We will not return and do not recommend this resort. Please book somewhere else if you want to get your money’s worth.

Overall a really great experience. Would prefer the property to use key cards instead of extremely tight wristbands that have to stay on your wrist during your entire stay at the resort. Super inconvenient for obvious reasons.

We went for my wife's birthday celebration for 3 nights, from june 23rd - june 26th. We were received by bellman "santos" who was really nice and attentive, took our luggage and showed us where to check in and change to more comfortable clothes, he later took us to our room and recommended us some activities. Check in process was ok, not excellent, had to wait for room because it wasnt ready. When we got the room there were blood stains on the floor which i had to complain 3 times until they got cleaned the afternoon of our secind day in the resort. Pool service in general was not good, staff is rude and not inviting, 2 bartenders where incredible and thats francisco in the swim up bar and Omi in the beach bar, the rest will not care for you if they dont see a tip in your hands. The food is not good at all. First day in lapalapa restaurant by the pools i had a ceviche and a salmon tartar that were room temperature French couisine gourmet restaurant in family side of the hotel is horrible, slow attention, slow time for your food,rude servers. We ordered lamb chops medium and we got rare and cold lamb chops. The desserts where room temperature aswell. Sushi restaurant was really good but we where told that even if we got to the teppanyaki section we could get sushi, and after asking 4 times for it, it never happened. Breakfast was amazing. Nobody knows about activities. Felix reception was amazing. Abigail lobby bar the best! Wont recommend it wont come back.

I believe this was my 5th time to DR and I will say that out of all the resorts this is by far my favorite!!!! First off, the food is real authentic Dominican food. I felt like I was at my friends house where her Mom always made me sancocho, arroz con gandues, carne guisado.... and so on. I even complimented many times and asked them to neverchange there food. DO NOT try to americanise the food because this is what we want, real Dominican cuisine! The place is clean, well kept and everyone is sooo friendly! I LOVE DR ***We just went June 25, 2025

The property itself was nice but the service was not. It was slow to check in, slow for room service, slow at the restaurants. The food for the Italian night theme’s food was SO salty!! I ordered risotto and the rice was not cooked at all, super grainy and extra salty. The beach was dirty and smelled horrible like sulfur or chicken coops from the seaweed. The buffets did not have a variety of food at all and had the same dishes from station to station. For the amount we paid, it was not worth it. We had a group of 12 people and made the best of it though. The bartenders seemed to be the kindest and most accommodating. Everything else just took way too long. It also was an annoyance with all the hagglers on the beach. We realized it was a public beach from a certain point bc there were resort securities watching. It’ll most likely be our first and last time in Punta Cana.

Very quiet. Can't play music by the pool except you are at the main pool. We stayed on the Bottom floor which was noisy because you could hear people walking back and forth. Whoever stayed above us moved their furniture A LOT which we could hear from below. The complaints about the Food in recent reviews bothered me but the food wasn't bad at all. There were A LOT of seaweed on the beach which made it hard to enjoy the view. Overall nice resort.

The hotel was nice. We had a few issues upon arrival the elevator didn’t work we had to walk up a bunch steps with our luggage. Our bathroom had a leak in the ceiling and our toilet was clogged. The lights in our room kept blinking on and off for no apparent reason. The room was a great size and clean with a beautiful view. It was difficult getting a hold of the front desk to report the room issues. Overall, the hotel is nice aesthetically but the food is horrible.

I never write reviews but I had to this time. Property was absolutely stunning but the amount of upselling and absolute rudeness of the staff almost ruined our trip. Beach was absolutely ruined by pushy non-stop salesmen, the pool was only slightly better. Most of the activities were on the family side of the resort strangely enough (including the club, sports bar, and nightly DJ parties). Adults side was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. Normally I’d love this, but we thought adults only would have more of an adult friendly vibe. Instead it seemed more to cater to an older, quieter clientele. Food was terrible. We spent the entire time at the buffet (the family resort buffet is also way better but then there’s the kids at a buffet aspect) as the one night we planned for their steakhouse dinner (supposed to be fancy), we didn’t get food to the table for 1.5 hr (with only one other party in the restaurant) and it was terrible. The clientele they’re trying to attract with the amount of money they must have put in to creating this beautiful resort will never come back with the abysmal customer service and food. Definitely some standout staff but they were few and far between. Beware of the personal concierge you are assigned when you first arrive. They will treat you like royalty and then very heavy handed and when you least expect it, try and convince you to sit down for a 60 min(!) timeshare-like presentation, and when you kindly decline, you will see their true colors.
