"Amazing hotel with a private cenote, a little piece of paradise away from the busy street. Very serene place to enjoy a great DJ during the day, reading by the cenote, enjoying good (however pricey) food and drinks. The low point… we lamented being given a premium room with a view on abandoned structures that ruined the experience. Tried to change our room but the hotel management was totally deaf to our request, and only offered to upgrade us at a cost $65/night when we were already paying in excess of $300… so they left us with a very mixed feeling…."

"We had a bungalow on the beach!! The walk from reception to our accommodation was through lush palm trees through to glorious white sand and turquoise blue sea. The staff were amazing, in particular Magdalena who arranged the bouquet for our wedding vow renewal on the beach. It is a short walk from many bars, restaurants and day parties. Our favourite restaurant was Hartwood. Sit at the bar before dinner and watch the barmen make some extraordinary cocktails which are on the pricy side but worth the money."

"Had an amazing stay at MIA. The location is perfect—right on the beachfront—with a great-sized pool and genuinely friendly staff (special shoutout to Anna!). One of the highlights was the beachside massage setup—super relaxing and thoughtfully done. Our room had stunning views of both the ocean and pool, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves was just incredible. The bathroom was spacious and laid out well. Overall, such a serene and memorable experience—I’d absolutely come back."

"If you're looking for a five-star resort with a very natural feel, this is for you. The amenities, restaurants and staff are top notch. Still very equal friendly. It's an adventure, just walking around the property. Unfortunately, the ocean was full seaweed. The resort did have workers there every morning keeping the sand looking pristine."
