even though the information on the hotels.com site indicated that check in was from 2-8pm, we found that when we got to the property at 6pm, there was no one at the front desk to greet us. The office closed at around 5 and our check in experience consisted of us letting ourselves through the non-secure gate, walking around the reception area trying to figure out how to contact someone to check in, and eventually seeing a note that was left for us, along with our room key, on a desk off to the side. There weren’t instructions for how to reach the tree house. It was pretty dark at 6pm so we couldn’t really see any of the signs. We drove around the property for a while trying to find our tree house, to no avail. Finally, one staff member found us and directed us to the right tree house, which involved driving out of the main area and going through a different gate. It’s astounding that these instructions weren’t provided beforehand. The house itself was large and nice but not worth what we paid each night. The jacuzzi in the garden house was a tub of water that needed 3 hours to heat up via firewood. Eddie, the staff member who helped us out, was kind enough to heat it up for us both nights we were there. The beach that’s a one min walk from the house was alright - we decided to spend our beach time at Punta Uva (5 min away) instead of at this beach. All in all, we thought the place was alright but we will not be staying here again, especially given the price.
