I stayed at Marina ElCid in July, 2024 with my family and parents. It has the best staff and food an all inclusive resort can offer. We really enjoyed the time there. The shows, restaurants and service were excellent. Only downside is that it has very poor cell phone reception and offers only two wifi login codes per room. Wifi should be free by now for all devices.

Our stay here was just ok. I felt like the only place we ever ate at was the main buffet. The Mexican restaurant wasn't open at all. There was the Italian restaurant which had same buffet as the lobby buffet. Then the market, which was more buffet. The Marina restaurant had the same, but different, as the buffets. And the new restaurant across the street wasn't even open. Overall, the food was disappointing, especially since I got sick on day #2, with what I thought was food poisoning. But heading to the doctor tomorrow, pretty sure it's Salmonella. So, my appetite was ruined after that...lived off of toast and saltines for the week. Staff in the lobby are great! The staff doing the pool activities are great! Bar staff outside, towel staff, restaurant staff weren't the friendliest. Staff walking around the pool serving were friendly, but pool bar staff, not so much. Loved the access to the beach. The pool options were perfect for our families. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Este lugar nos ha gustado mucho hemos ido dos veces. La comida es excelente, el servicio es excelente los jardines tan bonitos y bien cuidados, la variedad de restaurantes que tienen. It was a wonderful resort. Everything is excellent. The only cons is the bar tenders at the main pool. They do make faces and not that friendly. But overall, the staffs have been wonderful.

Although it appears a large complex everywhere is walkable but you can get lifts in golf carts. The food at the lunchtime restaurant mercado de dolores was fantastic but as it was the only one open got very busy as the hotel filled up. The staff were very helpful especially the concierge amanda and marisol (hope spelled correctly). The rooms were fantastic and my sons were delighted with the room service. Was a great relief after we moved hotel from playa de carmen where i was robbed by the police ! And puerto.morales seemed a nice quieter and safer place.

What I like is the staff.they asked us all the time if we need help, especially at restaurants they were very careful with my kids food allergies. What I did not like what’s so smell around the resort. That could be because of the water and tree around.

been traveling to cancun for many years, wanted to stay away from big brand hotels, this one is nice , people are really friendly, food is good, family atmosphere. if i had to say anything just bring mosquito spray as in middle of jungle and you will need it.

Coming to this resort we knew the beach area wasn’t great. We were ok with that because the cost of the stay was excellent. The resort is beautiful and you’re able to use the two other sister hotels. Great variety of food choices. One is connected to El CID and the other one is across the street. Many choices of restaurants, pools, golf cart transportation and entertainment. For those that have never gone to the Cancún area, September is a perfect month to go. It’s low season and resorts are not overly crowded. It would recommend this resort. Only downfall was “Pushy Staff” trying sell their timeshare. I am bi-lingual therefore I squashed that fairly quickly! She was unaware that I heard her telling the other staff members that I was rude her. Lady, I am on vacation. I decide what I want to do with my time there, not you!

Hotel room was alright, you could say very good. Sadly everything else was mediocre at best. Food was not really good, lot of it felt like microwave food quality. Imagine a pizza that the kids wont eat, that's exactly what we had... There are some wild animals roaming around the property, especially at night, so if you are not comfortable with that then stay away from this resort. They have a fenced in area with some crocodiles. Also it smells really bad in certain areas, sewer like smell. The beach was unusable, due to amount of algae on the beach and in the water. I tried going in, it felt like stepping through mud, not pleasant at all. So, if you dont want to be confined to the pool, choose a different resort. There is nothing in the area really, it would take you some 30 minutes walk across some unpaved road to reach some civilization or local place Puerto Morelos. Taxi is very expensive and they do not offer free shuttles to any location, like many other places do.This is my 4th time in Mexico and sadly this was the worst experience. Lots of food remains from room service seems to be left for hours, sometimes even an entire day/night in the open stairways/hallways, attracting animals. I have no idea how this place received such a high rating...

Food is great. Place is clean ( smell of the lobby is sulphuric tho) Our suite was wonderful. We stayed in for a day because it rained,maid service still done while we went for the Alhambra buffet. We were very impressed! Staff were respectful and attentive.
