「The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Portland, right across from the Hyatt. It has an old charm, but the sheets and beds could use some improvement. We stayed during the off-season, so when we arrived, there was plenty of parking right in front of the entrance. However, valet parking was the only option at $45. If they offered self-parking for a reduced fee, it would be much better.」

「The staff at check in were so cheerful and full of food choice recommendations, not just pushing their own dining. One in particular told us about some ‘hidden finds’ and where we could get a light night eat after our concert. I had booked a king room with sofa and we were given the corner suite with an incredible view. We live in Maine but don’t stay in the city often. It was a real treat. 」

「Our stay was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is ideal. We love Portland's dining, music and arts scene. Breweries abound, including an excellent gluten-free one, Orange Bike. LaQuinta is close to I-295 and to downtown so you can get to attractions quickly and also to those in nearby towns.
