We literally booked this room while inflight after a delay on the tarmac. When I walked in the night staff was lounged back in his chair and the only thing he said to me was “you must have just booked this room.” No other greeting. After receiving my key I was told “there’s the elevator.” That was basically my entire interaction. When my wife I got in the elevator the control panel door was open and we had to secure it before selecting our floor. Our room was large and seemed clean, just rundown. The most notable issues being that the carpet at the door had exposed tack strip and the ceiling was stained, but nothing that would ruin the stay if everything else was decent. The walls were thin, we could hear the room down the hall partying it up all night. The next morning while exiting the elevator an employee was getting in and when both my wife and I said hi, we were met with a blank stare and finally a nod of the head. And last but not least at checkout there were two employees at the counter chatting, neither one looked up to acknowledge us or thank us for our stay when we dropped the key. Overall, the facility looks great when you walk in the lobby but the rooms are rundown, the staff is lackluster and there are no amenities. This is very much a “you get what you pay for” hotel.
