The rooms and cleanliness were average. However, the hotel's website advertised a free shuttle to downtown Portland. I confirmed this service via phone prior to our arrival, but when I requested a ride, the front desk informed us that this service was no longer offered. No apology, and no attempt to make it right. We ended up spending $60 in Uber fees to get to and from town. Had I known this to be the case, we would have stayed somewhere within walking distance to downtown.
Furthermore, our main reason to stay at this hotel was the well-reviewed indoor pool; the pool itself was good, but when I took my young children back to swim on Sunday morning (a busy weekend), it was closed for "routine maintenance". There was no warning that this was going to happen, and we were not the only family with upset kids who were looking forward to swimming.
All things considered, our choice to stay here instead of downtown--heated pool and transportation into Portland--was all for nothing. Thoroughly unimpressed.
