It sounds like you had a bit of a mixed experience at the hotel! On the positive side, it's great that you enjoyed the indoor pool, spa, valley view room, and the cleanliness of your room upon check-in. Plus, seeing kangaroos at your doorstep must have been quite an experience!
On the flip side, it's understandable that issues like the receptionist being occupied with a phone call, lack of included housekeeping, non-operational internal restaurant, poor internet in the room, expensive massage therapy, and limited gym facilities were disappointing. Overall, it seems like the positives outweighed the negatives, but there were definitely some areas that could have been improved.
