My fiancé and I stayed at the Warwick Rittenhouse in Philly for our anniversary weekend. First inconvenience: Check-in was delayed, so instead of us checking in at 4pm, we had to wait to be checked in by 4:30. We then had to quickly change for dinner reservation at 5pm. Our second inconvenience was the room itself, for which I spend over $200/night: Not enough towels and no bathroom mat for us. The complimentary shampoo/conditioner bottles had nothing in them -either they were empty or the contents were in solid form and could not be forced out with any amount of pressure. Only one bar of soap, not a separate one for the shower. The shower drain was clogged, so while taking a shower, we were simultaneously running a bath, since the water could not easily drain out. The sofa in our room was old and worn, and we could feel the spring when sitting on it. Very uncomfortable and difficult to lift yourself out. The third inconvenience was the elevators not running on checkout day. When we left the room to check out with our luggage, we had to wait about 10 minutes for an elevator (there are FOUR elevators, out of which ONLY ONE was operating at 11am). When the one operating elevator finally arrived, it was too crowded for us to board. We were on the 9th floor, and rather than wait for that one elevator to come back to us, we decided to drag our luggage down NINE FLIGHTS of stairs to the lobby.
