「Good independent hotel in great location. VFM. Trays provided for muddy boots is thoughtful. Not so great for people who dislike dogs, especially in Restaurants, but judging by numbers of guests with canines in tow, the hotel has to provide for this. 」

「Excellent stay. Great hospitality and cuisine. Highly recommend Melfort house B&B」

「Had an overall great stay! Very clean and nice staff. The only thing that’s negative worth mentioning was that it took a very long time to get hot water in the shower and the tub. And after the hot water was running in the tub there was no way to get the cold water running. Except for this, a comfy bed and nice breakfast made this a nice stop along the way. 」

「Owners were lovely, the bar had great cask ale and a very welcoming relaxed vibe. Food looked really good, but the property is a bit tired. Bedroom super clean and comfortable. Overall great value.」

「It rained for first few days but that didn't stop me from getting about. I had a great time visiting lots of places and having lovely meals. I'd like to come back.」

「Superb location, well equipped, pets welcome but no secure compound at this time. Hosts are very friendly and accessible if any issues. Great walking from your front door or just dig and watch the boats use the lock system just yards away from your front door. 」

Normally I would never consider a B&B as I like the independence of a top class hotel but Stephanie and Adrian quickly made me feel totally at home. A pure delight of a place with superb breakfast and dinner. Also little things like suddenly jasmine tea suddenly being available when I had simply asked if they had any on the previous day. A real sense of making your stay as perfect as possible. 」

「Very nice, nice cottage. Water and plants everywhere, could use some gravel on the driveway. This was disclosed in the information, but going slowly was the ticket. Washer and dryer was great we stayed for a week and with a load we were ready for the next stay. Being 70 liked the fact of no stairs.」

「If you are looking for a slower paced experience, this is a lovely place to stay. The neighbors are friendly, and the tavern at the end of the road had wonderful food and good service. The village was peaceful and charming. It was easy to get to almost anywhere in Scotland with 3-5 hour drives. The road in to the village is quaint and you need to take your time getting in. Can’t wait to come back.」
