"Pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Room was large and very clean. We paid extra for a room with a terrace and a view and wished we had just gotten a basic room. The room was on the first floor and traffic noise from the street below made the terrace unpleasant. We also were at the far end and there was very little water view. "We splurged and spent the night. This beautiful hotel. After a delicious buffet dinner we ventured down for a relaxing dip in the hot tub. Felt very good, but the temperature was not as warm as we would have liked. We did not use the other wellness facilities but would have liked to use the red light therapy room if time had allowed! Breakfast was wonderful. Fabulous pillows on the bed and we slept like babies! We felt spoiled!"

"Lovely 150 year old historic hotel in the heart of the Opatija Riviera. The owners appear to be slowly renovating the place so that's good. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Staff are absolutely amazing and helpful. And the sea water pool (yes that's seawater!!) is awesome. Would definitely stay here again."

"I have never stayed in this type of property. I usually pick a known hotel brand because I know what to expect but I’m so happy I didn’t. We were greeted by the owners with a welcome drink, snacks, and kindness. We sat and talked while they checked us in and then showed us to our room and talked about their amenities. "Everything is ok"

"Nice stay very clean hotel and the staff was great. I would have been 5 stars but our room was on the 1st floor above the ceiling speakers for the lobby music and dinning room that finally stoped at 4:30 am. Started again at 6:30. I’m sure someone just screwed up but it sounded like a muted party going on down stairs all night. More pillows would also be nice "
