「Our stay was good. Everything that was needed was there. The house is rustic and dark, having a total of two windows in one of the rooms. The biggest negative was not having control of the AC/heater. The instructions said to keep the thermostat at certain temperatures. There was no thermostat. We inquired about it, and were told that they would adjust to our satisfaction via remote. It got hot during the night. No way that I’m waking somebody up. This should be rethought. I was traveling between St. Louis and Carbondale during my stay and I liked the small, quaint area the home is located. Riley was great to accommodate until power was restored and stay in constant communication throughout the entire ordeal. Would definitely stay again.」

「This was by far the worst rental I’ve ever stayed in. There were cameras in every virtually every window several of which were pointed toward the interior making us feel very uncomfortable. There were no linens on any of the beds. When we finally found them, they didn’t smell or appear to be clean. The house had no wifi and no dining table. The only dishes we could find were two small cups. Overall an absolutely horrible place to stay. 」
