“I gave 4 stars for this stay because of the check-in process. I was given two phone numbers to call when we arrived in order to be remotely let into the building. I called both phone numbers repeatedly for 10 minutes, messaged through VRBO, and left voicemails before I was able to get in touch with anyone. That was very frustrating, and I was frantically looking for dog-friendly hotels that we could stay in if no one picked up. The host never apologized or acknowledged the delay or numerous……

“We had a fantastic time in Rochester. It was our first time visiting the area. Our son was absolutely delighted to find all the toys and games in the house. The kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable, check-in was seamless. We would absolutely come back. ”

“The apartment was great very clean, I would suggest possibly getting a microwave, there was no way to warm up any leftovers. Could also use some more utensils, (spatula). The neighborhood although nice was a little to urban for our liking, I know marijuana is legal but the smell of it was everywhere, especially from the tenant below in the middle of the night. Lovely place just not for us older folks. Thanks”

“This renovated warehouse apartment is secure, spacious, neat, cozy, and quiet. A large couch is very comfortable and the king size bed is fantastic. The location is superb in that. It is immediately near 490 making it easy to get anywhere in Rochester. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend this location to anyone.”

“The apartment was just as described. Clean, fully stocked, great location - walkable to restaurants shops. The decor was really unique and charming. Beds were very comfortable. The train does come often at times as mentioned in the listing. Great communication and friendly hosts.”

“Our stay in this tastefully remodeled one-of-a-kind studio apartment for 3 nights was a very positive experience. The property is in the Neighborhood of the Arts and it is within easy walking distance of an assortment of performing arts venues, several museums, fine and modest restaurants and bars. Our primary destination on this visit to Rochester was to attend a performance at the West Herr Auditorium Theatre which was just a few blocks from the apartment. We wanted to try staying in this area……

“The owner is a young person trying to make a go of it, but he is not ready - not is the property. We had to leave at 11:00 PM and find another place to stay. The overall cleanliness is lacking. The place is dirty (not overly disgusting). Then you need to do things like lean into the door when you want to open it - or the lock won't work. As we didn't feel it was on us to do a walk through when we checked in, we found there was no soap in the bathroom when we went to use it, There were no sheets……

“Very comfortable basement apartment with full bath, queen bed, mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, couch, etc. We had our own separate entrance and daylight windows with lots of light. The bed was comfortable and we had great communication with the owner. Conveniently located in Victor, which worked well for us in town for a Victor/Mendon wedding.”
