「Overall a nice cabin, but a few disappointments. Was expecting a propane grill, what was provided was an extremely small charcoal grill. Porch covered with bird droppings, and no place to hang clothing inside cabin and very limited shelf space in bathroom. Upside, very clean and organized inside, large yard, nice and peaceful, would rent again, but would bring a tailgate grill to cook outside.」

The upstairs room has its own bathroom. The down stairs room is huge with its own tv and bathroom. The house truly sleeps ten with four queen/king beds and two twin beds down stairs. 「Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was everything we wanted/needed, and clearly cared for. We immediately felt at home, not like some properties that are sparsely appointed with cast-offs. The river was gorgeous and relaxing. The hosts were top notch. We are already planning our return visit.」

「This was my second year staying in the cabins. Unfortunately, the hot water heater broke so there was no way to shower. The water almost scalded me and then went ice cold. I do understand that mishaps happen, but there was no backup plan. We were given the option to shower in another cabin on a single day before 11am (check out time) as other guests were checking in that afternoon. Our stay was for 6 nights/7 days! Having no way to shower for that length of time is unacceptable as I want what...

「This was the perfect secluded location and cabin. It was very cozy and clean. The only thing that could have made it better would be screens in the windows for some fresh mountain air. We have been to Alpine Lake many times and, although all the places we stayed were great, this by far was our favorite. We will definitely be returning to The Red Fox.」
