「We were two couples visiting the Big Island for 10 days: 4 nights at Hulili Farms, 6 nights at Mauna Lani condos. At Hulili Farms, one couple stayed in the Pineapple Cottage while the other stayed in the Treehouse. We gathered nightly on the lanai of the cottage for tropical drinks and simple meals. Day trips included Volcano National Park and Hilo. A highlight was the Hawaiian Botanical Garden followed by lunch at nearby Pi’ilani Kitchen. 「We enjoyed looking out at the lagoon and ocean from the lanai and bedroom windows all times of the day. We felt at home and even pampered. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality. We would enjoy staying here again if we return to Hilo. 」

「The Thomas Guard house is a gem in Hilo. The location is perfect - not in the middle of the city but close enough to walk to local restaurants. The beautiful grounds, the waterfall, the river running through the backyard, they all added to the charm. The house is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Charlotte has thought of all the details to make this a wonderful place to stay. It was a perfect way to unwind from an otherwise busy life. 」

「Nice location with a beautiful view, just outside downtown Hilo. Parking was easy. Check-in was easy. Accessible, responsive host. The unit itself was clean and spacious, with a well-supplied kitchen. Air conditioning worked great. The condo building has offices on the lower floors, so doesn’t exactly have a vacation rental feel but would still recommend it as an excellent base for exploring the east side of the island. 」

「Great, clean house with 4 bathrooms, great kitchen. Large tables inside and out for a crew. But the property is dated. I acknowledge that upkeep near Hawaii shoreline is a challenge. The pool interior is ready for redo...but kids will not care and easy to monitor from comfortable locations. The pool water was clean since it recycles every day. This is a large, roomy house for group, but HOT bedrooms on main floor, since AC is not centrally located. The dryer vents into the laundry/twin...

「Thank you for providing access to your home for vacation. The rental was clean and comfortable. We were very close to beautiful parks and the ocean. The lanai was large enough for all 4 adults in our party to enjoy together with a lovely view of the grounds and peaks of the water. We spent time in old Hilo as well as the nearby falls. 「My family and I had a good stay. Checking into our room took longer than what I was accustomed to(25 minutes) but much shorter than expected based on the reviews I read. The staff were friendly and professional. Our room was mostly updated and it was quite clean with an excellent view of the ocean. We even saw a sea turtle swimming from our balcony.
