The manager who met us was not friendly. I paid for a 4-person room and we were 3 people but I emailed about a 4th. His response was, “you paid for a 4-person room, it doesn’t matter if you have three or four people.” Then when we arrived and he saw we were four people, he said he misunderstood- he thought fewer people were coming, not more. Now suddenly it costs more for my 4-person room - he demanded $30 more on the spot. I paid, as it was late and I didn’t feel like finding another place.
The room was sufficient but dusty and two of our party had difficulty sleeping due to repeated sneezes and runny noses that magically cleared up once they went outside. We opted not to use the showers and went down the street. Nothing was super dirty but not was it super clean - I wiped a layer of dust off the toilet back.
The only really good thing about the place was the location right next to the lake. The manager/owner spoke a little English and the signs and instructions were in English. I wish I had stayed at one of the hostels at the bottom of the mountain, much friendlier and cleaner.
