We picked this property for my daughter‘s 21st birthday trip to New York City. We were trying to keep the cost down so we picked an affordable option but a name we have known and used in the past. Well, this isn’t the Holiday Inn Express type of experience we were used to. The hotel is in a roughly 10 story building which wasn’t unexpected as I had seen the property online before we went and we understand that it’s in the city. The rooms are very small. Our room came with two double beds with two people can barely fit on them so sleeping was rough. Our “first” room faced the rear of the property, and we looked out the window and saw probably 100 white plastic trash bags filled with who knows what, several old plastic lounge chairs all piled up, construction debris and just general trash strewn about. Pretty unsightly to say the least. We were really shocked that the hotel did not address this and clean this up and had this visible for guests to see. I believe it is their property, but don’t know that for sure but needs to be cleaned up. Also, the toilet leaked in this room all over the floor. We brought this to the attention of the front desk and requested a room change. They said they had no more rooms available for that night, but we could be moved the next day. We took them up on this and were moved to a room facing the street but seemed even smaller. Breakfast was fair, packed each day.
