Family time in NYC
6 of us stayed in this townhouse, ages 20 through 95. Location was good - near food shopping, liquor store, transit, etc. Bedrooms a good size, but AC in each room meant 'open' to street noise and colder temps - lots of heaters provided, but they blew the fuses when more than one plugged in. Extra blankets in each room should be provided. Broken tiles/floor and shower not working in upstairs bathrooms. Stair treads broken and handrail from front door separated from wall. Kitchen extremely small, with broken cupboard doors and many common kitchen utensils not provided. Good dishwasher and gas stove! Dishes plentiful but glasses not - we had to purchase and leave some behind. Kettle not working. An info package about where things could be found in the neighborhood would be greatly appreciated when checking in. Only 1 of 4 garbage pick ups completed. I will say that when we had an issue with the fuse box, we did get a fast response to our phone call, with possible solutions, and we were able to address the issue.

Great place for a group of 7 people in town to film a documentary. Rooms are spacious and the dining and living area was wonderful for all to relax. We were able to put all 7 around the dining room table easily, the kitchen allowed us to save a ton of money by making our own breakfast and dinners. Wonderful host, very responsive.

Great location and spacious property perfect for a large group of friends exploring NYC. Due to its central location, the front bedrooms are extremely noisey at all hours of the day. The property is suitable and functional for a short stay, but is a little run down including broken tiles in the upstairs bathroom, rickety occasional chairs, unkept outdoor area and unstable railing on the stairs. The property manager is very responsive and helpful.

Our 3-week stay in NYC was a nightmare from the start. The property manager refused to provide the actual address until the last minute, claiming "security reasons." We needed an address for visa purposes, but they wouldn’t work with us. The unit is also two blocks from where they advertised. Upon arrival, we were shocked by how old and filthy the place was—dusty floors, stained pillows, cracked bathroom tiles, and a dangerously uneven floor. With half our group being young children, these conditions were especially concerning. The amenities were horrendous: a vacuum with no suction, a dryer with gum in the drum, and a stove with a strong gas smell. The kitchen was a disaster—dull knives, broken drawers, and scratched-up pots and pans. The electricity blew three times, and the furniture was so worn that sitting on it was uncomfortable. The worst part? The trash situation, which they didn’t warn us about. The trash collector had the door code and let himself in without warning, even on days he wasn’t scheduled to come. He collected trash by dragging it through our living space, kicking it down the stairs, and leaving bags outside to rot for days. The door code is given to many of their employees, and there’s just one door between the outside and living area, with no deadbolt, so we did not feel safe. We paid a lot for this hellhole, expecting a clean and secure environment for our families. Instead, we were left feeling unsafe and disgusted. Avoid this place at all costs!
