As unique as the song of the Whippoorwill, this beautiful and calming cabin is just for you and your love! This cabin includes a fully-equipped kitchen, full bathroom, and living area with a gas fireplace as its centerpiece! Past the porch hot tub, you will find a fire pit and charcoal grill for your personal use! Avenwood Cabins offers private cabin getaways in the beautiful Wayne National Forest. Our woodland escape ensures relaxation while providing modern amenities. Each cabin boasts state-of-the-art hot tubs with a view of the forest, queen-sized beds for guest comfort, air conditioning for those warmer months, WIFI and Roku-equipped televisions to keep you connected, and of course a pet-friendly environment for your fur babies!

We had a nice overnight stay. It was clean and comfortable. Would recommend getting rid of bench by fire pit as it's a safety hazard, could fall through easily.

Cabin Stay
Very cozy and pleasant cabin. The bed was actually the most comfortable ive slept in outside of my own. Couple of downsides are needs new cooking pans. The frying pan was the worst. Not at all flat anymore so mafe cooking difficult. Shower stall is so small there is no way to keep wayer from getting outside of curtain when getting in. Could use a handheld showerhead to alleviate that. Coyld also use some hooks near shower for hanging towels. Overall a good experience tho.

Just what the doctor ordered 😊
This quiet getaway was exactly what we needed. It is remote but had all the comforts of home. Only complaints would be the shoeerhead needs replaced with a wand so you dont get continually sprayed on too of your head whike in the small shower. Also, the mattress and box springs are very old and dont lend much support. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely stay again.

Showed up and the place had not been cleaned. 1.5 hours later it was cleaned but they still didn’t take out the trash. Not a big deal, but not ideal. Fridge broke and ruined $400 worth of food. Also, the shower head is so clogged the water pressure is in thin high pressure streams that make taking a shower so uncomfortable that it’s impossible. To stay in long enough to wash yourself properly. We left a day earlier than our checkout. Texted the owner and still have not received a response a day and a half later. Will not stay here again, completely ruined trip. Wasted over $1,200 and mine and my gf’s limited and precious PTO.

The cabin was beautiful, yes the shower is small and the mattress is worn but that isn't as important to me as the peace and quiet this setting provides. I was able to relax and enjoy the peace this location provides. My husband and I will definitely be back!

Very clean. Very nice get away. My only hope is they get a new mattress. The well in the center was deep and uncomfortable. However everything about the rest of the stay was amazing. I am new to this so I didn’t really know how to reach out and being if to his attention so I’m sure judging from how clean the place was he will take care of it .

Our stay was ruined due to operational issues. The refrigerator broke. We called it in early in the morning. We were told it would quickly be taken care of. They even called us back asking for permission to move our food to another refrigeration unit. We gave permission at about 8:30 am to do so. When we got back to the cabin around 4:00 pm we opened the door to the smell of spoiled food. A maintenance man showed up shortly afterwards bringing a mini drink frig. Apparently a full size refrigerator was ordered but wouldn’t arrive for several days. We were not updated on the situation and our food was left to spoil. I asked for some compensation, but nothing was given. Not only were we out the cost of all the food, but were further inconvenienced by having to drive back to town to buy more food. The trip for fast food took over an hour. The maintenance man was very friendly and even fixed the hot tub that not operating properly the first night. Due to these two issues, we left not enjoying what could have been a nice trip.

It was very cute and relaxing. A few things brought our rating down. 1. The shower head made it hard to shower comfortably. It was pointing straight at the back wall and was unmovable. 2. The mattress was way broken down and made it hard to sleep well. 3. The love seat in the living room was too small to fit comfortably. 4. We didnt utilize the tv because of the placement. 5. The rocker on the back porch was broken. We came for my wife's birthday weekend and loved the stay. Just a few minor fixes and it'll be perfect.

Clean But Has Issues
Let me start by saying the place was clean and well maintained. But there were several issues that really brought down our overal rating. Here is a list, in descending order of importance: 1. The couch was tiny and extremely uncomfortable. It was tight with just my wife and me on it. And it just hurt to sit in for any length of time. There's plenty of room for a full-sized couch. 2. No lights in the bedroom aside from the overhead one. It would be simple to have built-in shelves for lamps and even to put phones on. 3. No closets or anywhere for clothes that are on hangers and nowhere to hang towels near the shower. No towel bars anywhere in the bathroom. 4. In the kitchen, the frying pans were non-stick, but the surface was so scarred up, I didn't feel comfortable using them. And there were literally two plates and no paper towels, dish drainer, or oven mitts. 5.The instructions for the furnace and the gas fireplace didn't match the devices we had, so we had to contact someone to find out how to use them. 6. I understand we couldn't necessarily expect unlimited free firewood for the outdoor fire ring, but it seems like it could come with one free bundle of wood. 7. The TV worked fine, but it was so high up it hurt our necks to watch and had to hold the remotes high over our heads to get them to work. Again, it was clean and well maintained, but many issues listed made it a place we couldn't come back to.
