「My husband and I brought our 23 year old daughter and stayed 2 nights. The staff were lovely and the property was clean and very comfortable. We walked to many vineyards in the area. It is a lovely place and affordable.」

Lawns for cricket in the evenings; mud flats to explore at low tide; a wee beach or two to wander along; log fire for chilly autumn mornings and those long holiday evenings sitting round playing board games and cards together. 「Wonderful location and fantastic accommodation and facilities」

「We enjoyed our stay at this lovely family bach in Ngakuta bay. Location was great, right on the water, Ngakuta loop trail, and the link trail. We enjoyed the toys and game room. This is a classic kiwi bach and you need to bring your own sheets and towels. We did not hear back when we inquired about the possibility of renting linens. The property is what we expected from a kiwi back and we really enjoyed our stay. 」

「This artfully designed cottage is perfect for two couples with two en-suite bedrooms both with mountain and sound views. The property and the cottage were meticulously maintained and located a short 5-10 minute walk to the charming town of Havelock. The owners were very welcoming and kind we cannot wait to return to this stunning Marlborough Sound cottage! 」

「Blue cod off jetty, shark and stingray cruising by. Amazing forest walks. Bathroom was not so clean and bbq so dirty it caught fire but we cleaned it and carried on. It was well worth it!!!」

Everything is on hand at the property, and the property manager was quick to respond when we had a slight problem.I'd highly recommend this for anyone who wants a few days off grid enjoying nature in a beautiful location.」

「The unit was a great layout, good location, had everything we needed. However unfortunately there was a strong musty smell when we first entered & lingered the whole time. Whenever the place was closed up for a few hours, when we re-entered it was really strong again. Quite disappointing 」

We were really ready to simply rest and relax in a beautiful spot at this point in our vacation and this was perfect for our family of four. Everyone had privacy but it was also well provisioned for a family. Be aware that it isn't close to much so be sure to get groceries on your way there because once you're there you won't want to leave.」
