Dirty, smelly, unpleasant stay - save yourself and go elsewhere

To preface this, we are not super picky about hotels as long as they are clean. Upon arrival to the hotel, there was smoke in the hallway. The hotel staff did have air purifiers throughout the hallway, but it did not remove the weed smell. The rooms were small, but completely acceptable. They werent in perfect condition, holes in the wall, some screws sticking out, but that wasn't what made this a terrible experience. We were getting ready for bed and looked at the bedding to find one bed with a massive urine spot on the sheets. The other had nail polish or paint, bright pink, across the sheets and top blanket. When we lifted the blanket, there was hair and more stains. Thinking maybe our room was missed when cleaning, I went to the front desk and asked for new bedding. They were very nice and gave me two new sheets so I could change them. When I got back to my room, I opened the bedding to see they had urine and other bodily fluid stains. If we hadn't just traveled 6 hours with three kids (arriving about 11pm), I would have packed up and left immediately. We were out of options so stayed for the night. To make it even more dissappointing, there was no hot water in the morning to shower so thank goodness for water rides at Valleyfair. The resturant across from the hotel was delicious and had amazing breakfast!

This property is in need of some major improvements. Everything is outdated and it appears no one cares. It's dirty both inside and out. There was a foul smell in the hallway and the room. The bed sheets and pillows were awful. The air conditioner in the room didn't work. You had to slam the door to get it to close. And on top of all that breakfast shut down early and really didn't offer much of anything to begin with. I do not recommend this property.

Check in is 3pm my room wasn’t ready till nearly 8pm. Then my room smelled like people had been cooking food in there. There was numerous holes and cracks in the walls. The deadbolt on the door was screwed back into the door after what looked like the door was kicked in. I didn’t not feel safe. I do not recommend and I will never stay here again.

Staff was very friendly! Building was old and dated. Very dirty. Stains all over the walls. Baseboard heating element layin on floor and a space heater for its replacement. Continually smelt of pot. Could hear every door shut and your neighbors sneeze

I booked my room with them based on some nice looking online images, but once I arrived I found the room to be filthy and very poorly remodeled. There were multiple stains from who knows what on the walls, it smelled funny in the hallways, the flooring was coming up, outlet covers were missing, and I found a wood tick crawling on my pillow, which initially freaked me out because I thought it was a bedbug. When I called the front desk to ask for another room they were annoyed and said "well, what do you want me to do about it." It's a slum.

Think twice before registering here!!!! We checked the sheets and they were obviously dirty. Floor had a pile of dark hair on the floor. Electrical outlets don't work. Lights over bed don't work. Bathroom was dirty. We asked for me room and was told no. They would change sheets but not clean. We checked out. They said they would give us our money back. We have pictures

Honestly it was better than most hotels. I was shocked. The only issue I had was the noise in the morning. Some guests decided to play with doors it sounded like. From 5am-7am. I don't what they were doing. The breakfast shocked me also. They had pancakes, waffles, orange juice, oatmeal, ect but no meats or scrambled eggs. This was a place to stay no carpet in room beds mostly just frames bedding not clean stains everywhere bathroom had crack in ceiling wereheat had eaten through sink had cracks and stains everywhere before we cleaned it broken outside window heating was a space heater had to clean the bathroom and sink before use huge crack on toilet seat that was almost cracked all the way through day and night after a nice clean we took pictures of before and after there were people living in the third exit door way all their stuff spread out like it was their living room e bike plugged in close drying I noticed a few minutes after check in went to get ice ran into a vagrant kid in the kitchen breakfast nook doing something I startled him he immediately took off for the door no pop in any of the vending machines or snacks we had to get towels for our room again check making me think they never cleaned it I paid for a king bed and got two twin beds too instead everything was just off at this place from beginning to end they need a major overhaul of all the facilities we had trouble finding workers at all after check in until check out very strange stay we have been to dozens of place throughout Minnesota we visit hotels every other weekend for years the freight train horn from 3 am to 5 am or so was not soothing either
