Overpriced. We stayed one night here. In the morning there was only hot water for one of us to shower and the other had to wash in freezing cold water. We were then offered to use a different electric shower but only after having been faced with washing in cold water. When we left I was told-at least you’ll warm up in the sun! There is no parking available. You can park on the single yellow line until 9am but then had to drive around to find parking, which is very limited and took 20 minutes! The sheets weren’t even tucked into the bed and the lady cooking the breakfast was using her hands to pick up the food. Best avoided and certainly overpriced.

Lovely stay in picturesque Dunster

We had a lovely stay at the Stags Head with our dog and 16month old son. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and were very friendly. Dunster itself is a very picturesque village with a very impressive castle to visit. It's only a short drive down to the Minehead and Dunster beaches and not too far to see other nice places like Porlock / Porlock Weir. We enjoyed a tasty evening meal in the pub and the included breakfast the next morning was generous with fruit juice, coffee, cereals, toast and a full english. We'd happily stay again.

Lovely little b&b close to Dunster castle.

Friendly owners and the breakfast was great. The b&b is conveniently located in the centre of the village next to Dunster Castle. Perfect for a short break.

Friendly staff, comfortable stay

Very friendly, helpful staff and a comfortable stay. We stayed in Room #1, which has a small ensuite - a bit too small for my pregnant wife, but otherwise fine. Good location right near the centre of Dunster.

Old, characterful building in lovely village of Dunster. All very clean and tidy plus really good food in the restaurant and a very good breakfast with very helpful staff.

Overnight stay

Great staff V friendly room was ok had private bathroom across landing but robes were supplied it's was a very night so needed window open which meant there was a lot of street noise. Food was fantastic.

Lovely, friendly hotel, caring staff.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay. Hotel was excellent. All our needs were catered for. We explored Dunster on foot, so much history and so much info. available about the history of the place. We would love to have stayed longer and are hoping to return to the Stags Head very soon!

Staying in a Medieval Village

The Stags Heard Arms is a lovely old pub with great atmosphere. The rooms are bright and the bed is very comfortable. The staff serves a great breakfast and is always around to help out during the day. Dunster itself is so lovely and there is much to see including its own castle. Other villages are close by and there is a bus service.

Lovely old inn and great location!

Lovely old inn on the main road through Dunster just close to the church and a short walk to the castle! Excellent breakfast and our evening dinner too! Happy to return to such a historic inn with all the character and atmosphere associated with the area!
