「1st time at a yurt. The room was nice. The place was in a more secluded area, but not far from highway access. Being far out, there wasn't a sewer system in place, so the toilet system took us off guard. Overall, nice place and staff was great to work with. 」

「What a delightful find for our family of 8!
Lots of room for everyone to spread out and relax between the 2 yurts. Beds and furniture were comfy, the interior lighting (esp around the inside top edge of the yurt) gave a cozy feel, and everything was spic and span clean. The deck with picnic table and shade umbrella would have been the idyllic place for us to gather while grilling and enjoying the amazing view and sweet breezes -- if we only would have had just one more night!

「The gecko is definitely more updated than its nextdoor neighbor. Both were spotless. However both are in dire need of new loveseats, or at least do a serious deep cleaning of these. The bed was very comfortable, which is amazing considering how bad my back is! The location was perfect for us because our forever home is in lower Ocean View. But for tourist it would be the perfect half way point between Hilo & Kona. And Pinapple the cat is adorable!」

「Absolutely loved staying here and Jacob and Morena are top notch hosts! We love to get out and about and they were able to suggest some really awesome places to visit. The place was clean and had everything we needed. Such a great vibe and we loved the sound of the frogs at night. If we're ever on the Big Island again we will definitely stay here. ☺️」

「We were making a multi-day road trip around the Big Island and needed a place to stay after a couple of days in Volcanoes NP. We chose the Lava Bus because it was such a unique property. We were so happy we did!
It is a bit of a drive to get to any services (around 20 minutes to gas/groceries) but it was an amazing location for seeing the stars at night and enjoying peace and quiet. It felt very remote, but at the same time the bus itself was so well-appointed that it felt somehow luxurious....

「We were looking to get away from the crowds, get a Hawaiian experience away from town. Dee's Farm did all this and got us a nice view of sunsets over the ocean. Prepare to be off grid, there are farm animals around. 」

「Everything was clean and the host is very nice. They did give away my yurt that slept 4 and put me in one that slept 2. Considering I had 3 in my party, it was a bit inconvenient. But the host helped us with a blow up mattress.」

「I enjoyed my stay at this VRBO. It was very cozy and pleasant and in a good location. I enjoyed the fact that it was a ways out of the city but still close enough for a convenient drive to stores and restaurants. The host was very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this for 1 or 2 people.」

「This lovely farm cottage was a perfect place to relax after exploring the incredibly diverse island of Hawaii. It is situated off the beaten track of Kona and the resort areas but conveniently enough to the Volcano National park, South Point, and Black Sand Beach. Couldn’t ask for nicer hosts. Really enjoyed fresh fruit from the farm and hope to visit again in the future.」
