Elegant Mill Bay Cottage with Spectacular Ocean View

The Cottage at Mill Bay is conveniently located close to Mill Bay Centre, Brentwood-Mill Bay Ferry, Brentwood College School & Shawnigan Lake School.

The completely renovated Cottage boasts a spectacular view of Mill Bay, Saltspring Island, and Saanich Inlet. The colourful sunrises and view of Mt. Baker on a clear day will take your breath away.

A covered entry leads into an open concept layout featuring a fully stocked custom kitchen with quartz countertops. The living room/dining room includes a gas fireplace, and vaulted ceilings. A small deck is accessed off the main living area and includes a gas BBQ, and outdoor seating. The bedrooms are situated at opposite sides of the living space. Both bedrooms offer queen beds, and built in floor to ceiling cabinets so you can unpack and feel right at home. The master bedroom opens up to a small deck with a beautiful ocean view.

spring vacation to visit family and explore the area
This is our second stay at this fantastic cottage. Wonderful views of the sea. Great bedrooms, bathroom and awesome fully equipped kitchen. The location is perfect for visiting the local areas and very close to grocery, wine, and great local eats. Easy access to highway and waterways and only a short distance to the ferry to Salt Spring Island. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you.

Beautiful Property
This is a beautiful property and suites our needs perfectly. The location was perfect for us and the view from the property is memorising. The kitchen in the property is well appointed and has everything that you could need. We had a small issue with the bathroom on arrival but contacted the host we assisted straight away. Lovely property that helped to make for an amazing Christmas. Don’t see us being in the area again for a long time but if we were we would rent it again for sure

We really loved our time in Mill Bay cottage! Nuala is a great host and we loved our stay at her cottage. Mill Bay is a nice little village and the ocean was close by. Wold come back any time. Nuala is superb host and her information regarding restaurants, coffee shops and things to do around the cottage were just great and very helpful! Brugo‘s coffee is a must in Mill Bay!!! The cottage was as advertised. Very clean, spacious enough for our family of three and very well equiped. Nice touches like a sensor light in the bathroom and a door keypad so no need for keys. The road in front of the house is busy but quiet at night.

What a view!
I write this review as I'm sitting on the verandah of, yet, another perfect day in Mill Bay at Nuala's perfect rental. The sun is coming up, the birds are calling, and the water is calm and sparkling. I won't lie, there is some traffic but it's a weekday and not everyone has the luxury of sitting back with a tea and enjoying this view today. We have had a wonderful stay here. The rental is spotless, everything is in top-notch working order, beds are very comfy, and the kitchen, bathroom amd laundry are well stocked with essentials. Nuala has been fairly quick to respond to any questions. Honestly, we have no complaints at all. This is definitely one of those rentals that you walk into, take a deep sigh of relief and know you made the right choice! To anyone who books it, I hope you enjoy it as much as we have 😊

Quiet, Serene Cottage
The Cottage at Mill Bay was a restful haven. It was our last stop on a two weeks journey around the island, and it could not have been more perfectly suited. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and calm, the beach is a two minute walk away and was also supremely peaceful with eagles and seals often there with us. The views of the Bay from each Cottage window never failed to impress us (especially the outstanding sunrises). The surrounding area is very convenient for any type of activity: day trip into Victoria, visit a winery, explore nature (we toured the Malahat SkyWalk and hiked Kinsol Trestle), shop at local farmer's markets. All 30 minutes or less from home! The home itself is generously stocked with kitchen supplies, blankets, towels, etc. The multiple balconies were enjoyable to cozy up on each morning and night. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Nuala!

Wonderful stay at The Cottage in Mill Bay!
We stayed 8 nights and wished we had stayed longer! The cottage is in a great location, has been beautifully renovated, and is very comfortable. We cooked more than a few times during our stay both in the kitchen and on the outdoor grill (which was squeaky clean and came with handy bbq tools). The kitchen is very well equipped and the dishwasher is quiet. The bedrooms have amazing custom closets with a place for everything. There was even a yoga mat in one of the bedrooms; a nice touch which we welcomed. The beds were comfortable and the linens crisp. The bathroom was stocked with plenty of fluffy white towels and the basket of individual Neutrogena make-up remover pads was a nice addition. The two decks were a joy to sit out on and watch the sunset and the beautiful view. Nuala was a wonderful host and very responsive. We are already looking at our calendars to plan a return visit.

What an adorable cottage! Way better than staying in a hotel. Very relaxing, with beautiful views. Had amazing sleeps in the comfy bed and soft sheets.
