「The property itself was incredibly quiet and on one side of a cobbled stable area. Every morning and evening, the owner's three elderly horses were led to and from the nearby field and we could often see the horse looking over his stable door from our bedroom window - the pony and Shetland pony weren't tall enough to look over! We saw several deer and hares near the cottage on the grounds. The cottage is in the grounds of Spital House; it was initially hard to find from the directions and maps...

「Quiet and peaceful. Property exactly as advertised with lovely small garden area and small field amongst trees out the back, with deer spotted one morning. Very clean, owner had thought of everything from small torches in drawers to cleaning materials in cupboards and spare lightbulbs if required. Property very warm, and within about 30-40 minutes drive of nearby Northumberland and Scottish Border places of interest to visit. Property only 2 miles over the Border from England. The host is very helpful and communicates well.If you book the cottage be sure to book the Italian in Wooler, it’s called Milan and it is very good, the best bit is it’s less than a 2 minute walk from the cottage!」

「The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. 「Barn Cottage was the perfect venue for our winter get away with friends. The property comfortable accommodated our party of eight. It is tastefully furnished and had excellent facilities including gym, tennis, table tennis and spa pool.Its an easy short stroll into Bamburgh and proved to be a great base from which to explorevthe area. 」

「Extremely dirty, shabby, in need of a full refurbishment, totally overlooked, noisy, no outside space, parking very difficult. Photos available of the filthy property」

「The location of the house is perfect for visiting various beaches & historic towns, nothing was too far. The house is very well equipped and felt very cosy but with plenty of space, especially with our 2 golden retriever dogs. They also loved the garden, with lots of room to run around. We can definitely see ourselves returning here sometime in the future.」

「We were very pleased with the house, how much room there was, it's location and facilities. All was wonderful. We loved been so close to Holy Island and the other amazing beaches. Best part was we had a week of sunshine. Highly recommended this property. 」

「We had a lovely three night stay at Beach House Hotel. There was some refurbishment going on in the reception area at the time of our visit, these were undertaken during daytime hours when guests were out and so not a real inconvenience. The staff were friendly and approachable. Room was very comfortable with luxury toiletries provided in the bathroom. Perfect location in SeaHouses. Food was excellent. 」
